Alter the Default Home Screen, channel absolute values, channel count and many other features which fall under this category.

The General Settings menu is where you will find options that do not fit into any other category. These settings are basically what they sound like General. In this section of the User Interface you shall find options for defining the Home Screen, Backlight setup and other options.

The General Settings consist of 2 pages, with 5 options on each one. Below you shall find explanations for each option on all available pages of this menu.

DefaultSc - Default Screen

As explained in the General User Interface Description, each section of the User Interface contains an ID number, seen on the top left corner of the screen next to its name. By defining the appropriate number, the screen will be the first one to appear once the unit is powered On.

Back-light

Every time a button is pressed or simply when the system is powered On, the backlight is being constantly controlled by the device. By selecting the appropriate option, the operator can define how the Back-Light behaves.

OnOffDimm
If the On option is selected, the Back-Light shall stay turned On until the device is powered Off.If the Off option is selected, the Back-Light shall remain turned Off during the entire units operation. (This can help save battery life)If the Dimm option is selected, each time a button is pressed, the Back-Light shall be turned On, after 10 seconds of inactivity it will dim to 50% and after another 10 seconds turn it self Off.

LCD Cont. - LCD Contrast

By choosing a value from 1 to 16 the operator can adjust the contrast of the display to suit his/hers needs. In some cases a darker look may be required, in others a softer feel. In any situation, the battery life has almost no effect by this option.

Touch EN - Touch Screen Enabled

The 128 x 64px Monochrome display, located on the Main Unit, is equipped with a Touch Sensor. By enabling the sensor the operator is given an additional input device which can be customized just like the rest of switches, buttons, pots or other input devices described in the Switch Settings section.

One useful application for this feature is to define the Touch Sensor to scroll through different Display Screens the User Interface provides by simply swiping the finger through it.

Buzzer

The Main Unit comes with an internal Buzzer, which can perform audio notifications while the unit is operating. By choosing different configurations the operator can control the priority of the audio notification or completely disable it. Below are the available options:

AllCriticalOff
When this option is selected, the buzzer shall issue notifications on every button press, every switch flip and naturally every alert or notification. If the Critical option is selected then the audio notifications shall only be presented for Critical alerts and notifications. No audio shall be present when pressing buttons or performing non critical tasks. With this option, the only sound the unit shall ever make is to play the intro melody. All other sound shall be disabled.

Vibrator

Within each OSRC Main Unit there is a relatively strong vibrator which can be enabled to notify the operator of critical alerts in case the audio notification is not clearly herd. By selecting the appropriate option the operator can define the functionality of the internal vibrator. Below you shall find all available options for this feature:

AllCriticalOff
When this option is selected, the vibrator shall issue notifications on every button press, every switch flip and naturally every alert or notification. If the Critical option is selected then the vibrator notifications shall only be presented for Critical alerts and notifications as well as Timer notifications. No vibration shall be present when pressing buttons or performing non critical tasks. With this option the vibrator is completely disabled.

Reset OSRC

If a Reset command is issued, the unit shall reset all Main configurations located within the Root Menu. Model settings and models them selves shall have no effect and will remain intact until reset or edited separately.

FPV Settings http://os-rc.com/en/osrcblog/entry/ui-fpv-settings http://os-rc.com/en/osrcblog/entry/ui-fpv-settings Specifically designed for FPV functions, this menu will provide you with the ability to alter settings such as Video Channel, Thumb Stick functionality and others. All designed to accommodate the FPV features OSRC can provide.

Ui_root_fpv_settings.png

The FPV section of the User Interface is dedicated to settings that control main functions of the Basic FPV setup. Through the settings described below, the operator may change how the FPV setup is configured and how functions related to it are presented.

RX Chan-N - Video Receiver Channel Number

If an FPVC Basic or Advanced module is present on the system and is properly configured through the OSRC Accessories menu, the operator shall be presented with the option to choose the channel on which the Video and Audio shall be received. The Video and Audio receiver located on both modules can function on 8 different channels for which the corresponding frequencies are:

Channel NumberFrequency in MHz
15705
25685
35665
45645
55885
65905
75925
85945

Thumb St. - Thumb Stick Attitude

Both FPVC Basic and Advanced modules come with 2 Analog Thumb Sticks, which can be moved on both X and Y axises. The Stick Attitude option can define how these sticks should behave if they are configured for camera control or similar device.

BehaviorDescription
AsStickIn this mode, the position of each axis is proportional to the motion produced by the corresponding channel. This means that the Camera or motor shall move exactly as the stick does and will return to its center position once released.
PosHoldIn this mode, the position of each axis is not proportional to the motion produced by the corresponding channel. When the stick is pushes to a corresponding direction, the Camera or motor shall move until the stick is released. Once released, the motion shall stop and although the stick will come back tot he center position, the motor shall remain where it stopped. This will continue to happen every time the stick is activated until the Camera or motor reach their final position.

Data Preview http://os-rc.com/en/osrcblog/entry/ui-data-preview http://os-rc.com/en/osrcblog/entry/ui-data-preview May it be for debugging purposes or for other reasons, the operator has the ability to view in Rel Time, the response from each switch, button or stick through this menu.

Ui_root_dataprev.png

When the Data Preview menu is selected, the operator is taken to the available list of data that can be viewed.

This section is mostly for those who need to test a switch, button or a stick in order to debug the system or simply try out different combinations and see what happens.

Through this section it is possible to monitor the functionality of each switch, pot, stick and button through both Analog and Digital representations.

This section of the User Interface is planned to host many other types of data preview that may become useful for the operator in the future. Although the list for the time being is short, it should grow quite rapidly since with the help of the firmware, drawing new displays and filling them with data is quite easy, thanks to the dynamic interface algorithms located within the firmware.

This section of the User Interface has no functions or options to setup and is self explanatory.

If the Switch Preview screen is selected, the operator shall have a chance to monitor the response from every switch or button located on the Main Unit as well as on the FPVC units. By pressing or enabling the corresponding button or switch the operator shall see its corresponding sector on the screen and it will turn Dark or shall be Empty if Enabled or Disabled.

The same notion is used to preview analog values of Pots, Sticks and other variable input devices. Through a set of corresponding bars, the operator shall have a chance to view the values change from their absolute minimums to their absolute maximums.
