At this point i really only need the funds to progress. It shouldn't take me lots of time to finalize the seconds version of the system i am working on so it all depends on the IndieGoGo campaign and the amount mentioned there since with that i can assemble the hardware i need and finalize production.

I definitely shall need lots of help once the financial part is at least good enough to keep going. What are your strong points when it comes to engineering?

Hrrmm. just a suggestion here, but seeing as your last indiegogo campaign didn't end very well, have you considered using kickstarter?

First off, your project looks awesome and I can't wait to get my hands on it. The functionality seems lightyears in front of products from leading brands. And at the price mentioned in the Flite test interview, it would be a steal when you look on all the features that comes with it!

I was wondering about 2 things:

1. Have you considered pre-order-funding? So the pre-orders could help with your budget and possibly speed up the process?

2. Range upgrade of the FPV functionality? Will it be possible to upgrade the RF-module and antenna's to increase the range of FPV flying? 1200m at 6.3mW is awesome out-of-the-box, but i've seen transmitters up to 4000mW. I am no expert at this at all so I don't know if that is possible or practical at all... I'm not even sure I'm talking about the same thing.. But the short version of the question is: Will it be possible to upgrade for increased range for both control and video?

Yes i have considered Pre-Orders, however, for any sort of sales to begin a Pre-defined budget must be known so that the proper manufacturing scheme could be defined and final pricing set. Since there is no budget right now i cannot set a price. I would rather make a quantity of units and have them ready for shipment before selling anything, seems like the honest thing to do.

Yes it will be possible to upgrade the range and/or the module for FPV since it already has been taken care of in the latest OSRC designs.

Not sure where to post this, so I will do it here.
Late at night, when I cannot sleep, I think about doing my own digital transmission project.
I try to design the protocols and data structure. Of course, anything I come up with will be just for me, not because I am trying to be selfish, but because I am not Futaba or Hitech, etc. Like Microsoft and Apple, they can force a standard.
Then I got the thought, what is Demetris doing? Can/will he share his protocol? Could we start a grassroots protocol that maybe everyone could use and be compatible?
