Blogs i write are mostly related to OSRC in one way or another, may it be a user manual, tutorial or something interesting for the reader. Since i developed the OSRC system, naturally writing information about it is my main priority. However now and then i do tend to write my own thoughts about other topics, related to technology.

Stick Setup

Αναρτήθηκε από σε σε Root Menu

If you need to change the units stick mode or configure different effects for the actuated stick assemblies then the Stick Setup section should be the one to use.

By altering the settings related to the Main Unit actuated Sticks, additional functionality may be enabled or disabled. Please read these descriptions carefully before making alterations to your setup. Alteration of options is just as simple as alteration of numbers, mentioned in the User Interface General Description By using the Left or Right functions, a selection can be made. To confirm the settings, the Enter function must be activated, which will display a confirmation window.

Mode

Since each stick axis on the Main Unit can be actuated and thus, simulate features such as Spring Return or Ratchet Effect, choosing a Control System with the appropriate Mode is no longer an issue. By changing the Mode, most importantly, the Throttle stick shall act accordingly. OSRC supports all 4 modes which can be seen below:

Sim. Spr. - Simulate Spring

This option allows the operator to simulate a Spring effect, found on older Remote Control units. If enabled, the Stick will always return to its center position after being released.

Sim. Rat. - Simulate Spring

This option allows the operator to simulate a Ratchet effect, found on older Remote Control units. If enabled, the internal actuator, responsible for the Throttle channel shall simulate a Ratchet effect that will feel as if there are sections within the motion of the stick, locking the stick lightly after each incremental motion. On older Remote Controls this could only be enabled or disabled by opening the device and removing or placing additional hardware.

Have been working with electronics for as long as i can remember. Always enjoyed making something new and having the pleasure of seeing it work at the end. One of my latest and i must say, greatest creations is OSRC - Open Source Remote Control. Finally i can work on a single project, devote my full attention towards it and improve it as much as possible, with help from the RC and general Open Source community.
